Back in February and March, Tunesmate asked you to vote on whose song titled “Dreams” was better. First, Van Halen and the Cranberries faced off. Then, Fleetwood Mac took on Gabrielle. Based on feedback, it looks like Van Halen and Fleetwood Mac were the respective winners, setting up a Title Title winners’ round between the two.

The other day, Van Halen’s “Dreams” from the 1980s and the Cranberries’ “Dreams” from the 1990s faced off on Tunesmate in a Title Title. Thanks to my old high school buddy Ed Vaske for suggesting another prominent song named “Dreams”: Fleetwood Mac’s song with the title from the 1970s. Add in Gabrielle’s “Dreams” from the 1990s, and we have a second “semi-final” match for the “Dreams” Title Title. Which one of these songs would you choose to advance to the finals against the Van Halen/Cranberries winner?

Can you make a Sen-Tunes?

Back in college, Ray Schuck and I used to play a game where we’d challenge each other back and forth speaking in song titles. For the sake of blog format, we’ve invented a new game called Sen-tunes, where you take five songs from an artist and make a sentence out of them. Tunesmate is going to pick an artist, give you an example and then ask you for your best shot of turning five tunes into a sentence. This week it’s time to make a Sentunes from Fleetwood Mac.

Ray started it. Who knew Fleetwood Mac could sound like Confucius?: Dreams go your own way as long as you follow little lies everywhere.
