Alice in Chains original lead singer Layne Staley passed away over seven years ago, but their sound lives on. Jerry Cantrell put the band back together with a new frontman William DuVall and this track “Check My Brain” exemplifies it. After listening to the main guitar riff, I feel like it’s a warped record being played while speed is being changed. After all is said and done, I still like it.
