Exactly 50 years today, Ray Charles hit number one on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart with the biggest hit of his career, “I Can’t Stop Loving You,” which would spend five weeks at the top of the chart.  The song was the third of three number one hits for Charles, following “Georgia On My Mind,” which spent one week at number one, and “Hit The Road Jack,” which spent two weeks at the top.

While “I Can’t Stop Loving You” was Charles’ biggest hit, he recorded plenty of great songs throughout his career. What’s your favorite Ray Charles tune?
