Michael Anthony and Van Halen

Michael Anthony was a long time bassist and band member of Van Halen until he decided to start playing again with Sammy Hagar. Almost ten years ago Mike was replaced by Edward Van Halen’s son Wolfgang as the official bassist when the group reunited with longtime front-man David Lee Roth. Wolfgang has been instrumental in bringing Eddie back out of the doldrums of alcoholism, mediocrity of music creation and playing live. Wolfy solely brought the band Van Halen back to life. However that being said, Michael Anthony is a founding member of Van Halen, contributing writer to some of the best rock songs of all-time, an incredible bassist, backup vocalist, entrepreneur and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. Fans want to see him onstage with Van Halen again. So my question, “is there a way to make it happen?”

Why not have Mike Anthony join Van Halen on their 2015 summer tour as bassist and put Wolfgang on rhythm guitar? Wolfgang has the ability to play drums, bass, keyboards and guitar. Ed’s son is a visionary and the brains behind the new tour. I think playing rhythm behind his dad could be just as cool. What if Wolf reached out to Mike? He has the power make this happen and give fans what they want. Wolf in his own right is a apart of rock legacy.

Do you think both Mikey and Wolfy could co-exist together on stage successfully?
