Jason Becker’s Triumphant New Album

Jason Becker’s New Album “Triumphant Hearts”

Do you know Jason Becker’s story? He was a child prodigy on guitar and he rose to fame as a teenager when he was one half of the legendary rock guitar duo Cacophony (with Marty Friedman). Then he got the gig with David Lee Roth, following in the huge footsteps of Eddie Van Halen and Steve Vai, and wrote and recorded the 1991 DLR album “A Little Ain’t Enough”. He was positioned to take over the rock guitar world when he was diagnosed as ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease, a debilitating and fatal condition with a life expectancy of maybe five years. Guess what? He’s still making music.

Jason never lost his will to live or his desire to create music. He communicates through a series of eye movements with a system developed by his father in which he spells out words as well as musical notes and chords. He then inputs the notes into a computer and edits the parts to generate charts with session musicians. His new album “Triumphant Hearts” features 14 tracks performed by Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Neal Schon, Steve Morse, Paul Gilbert, Joe Bonamassa, and many others. If you are a music fan, you need to hear this album. Listen to his tune “Hold On For Love” and get inspired.
