Gary Puckett and the Union Gap hit the Top 10 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart five times, all between 1967 and 1969. The biggest of those hits came with two consecutive hits in 1968 that climbed to number 2: “Young Girl” and “Lady Willpower.” Exactly 50 years ago, “Young Girl” climbed to its peak position for a three-week stay.
