Among their eight appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, Rhode Islands-based group The Cowsills‘ two biggest hits were their pair of number 2 hits in the late 1960s. Exactly 50 years ago, the second of those two hits – their version of the song “Hair” from the musical of the same name — was in its second week of a two-week stay at number 2.
