I am constantly amazed that now most TV Theme Show songs are about five seconds long. Back in the day, the theme song gave you time to get ready for the show. What is your favorite TV theme song? Happy Days always was a feel good. Released as a single in 1976 by Pratt & McClain, “Happy Days” cracked the Top 5.

I’ve been thinking about this, because there are a lot of good theme songs, from Silver Spoons to Welcome Back, Kotter to Family Ties to … you name it. The theme song that I find the most inspiring is from the late 80s comedy Perfect Strangers. My favorite though, is from the show that used to follow Perfect Strangers on Wednesday nights on ABC: Head of the Class.
