Everybody Dance Now …

Twenty years ago today, C + C Music Factory’s first single, “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now),” hit the top of Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart for a two-week stay.  The song also marked the first of six consecutive number 1 singles for the group on Billboard‘s Dance chart.  One of the two “C”s of C + C Music Factory, David Cole, passed away in 1995 of spinal meningitis.  The other “C,” Robert Clivillés, continued as C + C Music Factory, but stopped release work under the name in 1996.  Clivillés is still working in the music industry, and you can check out his latest projects at his MySpace page.
