DEF: Three Dog Night “It’s A Jungle Out There”

Cory Wells, one of the singers from Los Angeles-based band Three Dog Night, passed away Tuesday at the age of 74. Three Dog Night has appeared on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart 21 times, all between 1969 and 1975, with all 21 of those singles reaching the Top 40. Eleven of those songs hit the Top 10, and three rose to number one.

Three Dog Night broke up in the mid-1970s, but they reformed in the early 1980s, and in 1983 they released the album It’s A Jungle. The album didn’t produce any charting singles, but the band did make a video for the semi-title track, “It’s A Jungle Out There.”

In memory of Cory Wells, “It’s A Jungle Out There” by Three Dog Night is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
