DEF: The Manhattans “You Send Me”

In a career that spanned two decades from 1965 to 1985, Jersey City, New Jersey-based vocal group The Manhattans made sixteen appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. On this date in 1985, the last of those songs, a remake of Sam Cooke’s “You Send Me,” climbed to a peak position of number 81. Today, “You Send Me” by the Manhattans is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
