DEF: Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark “If You Leave”

British band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (also commonly known as OMD) have made six appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, all between 1985 and 1993. Four of those songs reached the Top 40, with three climbing to the Top 20. Only one song hit the Top 10, though it’s a song that tends to make short lists of all-time 1980s classics. Exactly 30 years ago, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark’s “If You Leave,” from the film Pretty in Pink, rose to a peak position of number 4, where it would spend one week.
