DEF: M.C. Gary, D.J. Barry & the Aggregation “The Cubbies Are Rockin'”

Last night, the Chicago Cubs ended the longest drought in Major League Baseball, stretching back to 1908, by winning the World Series in seven games against the Cleveland Indians. In honor of that achievement, the Daily Eighties Flashback goes back to the 1989 Cubs team, which won the National League East division but lost in the National League Championship Series to the San Francisco Giants, who, interestingly enough, this year’s Cubs beat in the playoffs in route to their title. In celebration of that 1989 team, musicians Gary Moody and Barry Goldberg came together as M.C. Gary, D.J. Barry & the Aggregation for the song “The Cubbies Are Rockin’.” To commemorate the Cubs’ World Series championship this year, “The Cubbies Are Rockin'” by M.C. Gary, D.J. Barry & the Aggregation is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
