DEF: John Morris “Theme Music for Coach”

Exactly 30 years ago today, the television show Coach, which starred Craig T. Nelson as Minnesota State University’s fictional head football coach Hayden Fox, debuted on ABC to begin its nine-season run. The theme music was written by New Jersey-born composer John Morris and recorded by the Iowa State University marching band. In commemoration of the anniversary of Coach‘s debut, the show’s theme music is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
