Though she never crossed over to the Hot 100 chart, Indiana-born singer Janie Fricke hit number one on Billboard‘s Country Singles chart seven times, all between 1982 and 1986. On this date in 1984, Fricke hit number one for the fifth time when “Let’s Stop Talkin’ About It” rose to the top of the Country chart. “Let’s Stop Talkin’ About It” was the second single and second song to top the Country chart from Fricke’s 1983 album Love Lies.
