DEF: Go West “Don’t Look Down – The Sequel”

London-based duo Go West reached their greatest success in the early 1990s when they scored the only two Top 20 hits of their career: “King Of Wishful Thinking,” which peaked at number 8 in 1990, and “Faithful,” which hit number 14 in 1993. The band has, though, had one other Top 40 hit, and that was their appearance on Billboard‘s Hot 100 that immediately preceded those two Top 20 hits. On this date in 1987, Go West’s “Don’t Look Down – The Sequel” squeaked into the Top 40 for one week, peaking at number 39.

“Don’t Look Down – The Sequel” is a remixed version of a song the band released in 1985 that charted in the UK, but not in the US.  The song is also today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
