Walmart no longer sells mp3s online but they do recommend hot new artists on the rise. Walmart calls new impact artists “risers”. You can listen to new artists clips while you shop and buy the CD.
Is Walmart missing the bus or do that many people still buy CDs?
Vernon Reid is the guitarist for Living Colour and in my opinion is one of the best of all-time. The African-American band is best know for their 1988 hard rock hit “Cult of Personality”. However one of my favorites by the NYC band is the melodic riff-driven “Solace of You”. Is Vernon one of the best guitarists of all-time?
America Online is still alive and kicking. As a matter of fact, if you enjoy the gossip side of music, AOL’s music blog is for you. Are Christina and Kelly still fighting? What color is Katy Perry’s hair this week? What slice of meat is Lady Gaga wearing at the latest awards event? Will Bobbi Kristina record a duet with her daddy? 47 years ago the #1 song in America was “Game of Love” by Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders. The group hit #2 a year later with their tune “Groovy Kind of Love” but never #1 again. Does this song bring back any memories?
Human Nature by Michael Jackson has been sampled numerous times, however only a few times has the sample yielded a hit song on the Billboard charts. In this mashup, the original Human Nature, Chris Brown’s recent hit “She Ain’t You” and SWV’s “Right Here” are mixed up in this nice rendition.
Is Human Nature one of your favorite Michael Jackson songs? It seems like muscians really like sampling it. If you recall John Mayer was asked to sing the song at MJ’s funeral but opted to play an instrumental version of it?
One of my favorite theme songs of all-time is the 1970s classic The Jeffersons. Every time I hear this song, it makes want to dance. As a matter of fact, at handful of local wedding receptions I’ve had people dancing to with this tune! Another favorite song that always sticks in my head is the theme to Different Strokes. What tune do you like better?
The Cleveland Indians mantra for the second consecutive year is “What If”. Do the Wahoos realize they’ve aligned themselves with Creed? In 2000, What If was one of the hottest rock songs and was featured on the Scream 3 soundtrack.
Today the Tribe and Jays went 16 innings to become the longest opening day game in MLB history. The Tribe came up short.
Is the act of the Cleveland Indians aligning with Creed a good thing or a bad thing?
Back in 1968, the Beatles visited India to expand their consciousness. During the trip, George and John stayed. Paul and Ringo left early.
India Trip Length of Time:
Ringo was there for 11 days
Paul was there for 5 weeks
George was there for 8 weeks
John was there for 8 weeks
Is it just a coincidence that both George and John are no longer with us, while Paul and Ringo are still performing?
Both Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney recently released new albums.
“Boyfriend” is Justin Beiber’s latest single off his upcoming album. This time around Justin tries to rap. Is Beiber fever over? Is his sophomore attempt going to catapult him to be the next Justin Timberlake? Do you like this tune?
