Here is a great mash-up by DJ Lobsterdust who combines Superstitious by Stevie Wonder and Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine by The Killers.
Peter Graves, who is best known for his portrayal of Jim Phelps on the television series Mission: Impossible, died Sunday at the age of 83. Of course, the theme music to Mission: Impossible, which can be heard above, may be one of the most famous television theme songs of all time. The piece was written and conducted by composer Lalo Schifrin, whose Web site is introduced with an arrangement of the Mission: Impossible theme, thereby acknowledging it as his most famous work. In 1992, GNP Crescendo Records produced a CD compilation called The Best Of Mission: Impossible Then And Now that features music from the television show composed and conducted by Shifrin.
Happy Pi Day (March 14 … i.e., 3.14)! Speaking of which, Don McLean’s “American Pie” is probably the most famous “pie” song. Certainly, there have been others. For instance, Warrant’s “Cherry Pie” comes to mind. What other hits about “pie” can you think of?
A couple of weeks ago I finally had the chance to watch “500 Days of Summer”. It’s a great movie and I would definitely recommend it. I’ve always been a fan of Zooey Deschanel but after watching this movie I realized what a beautiful singing voice she has.
A few weeks later I stumbled across the music of “She & Him” and happily noticed the female voice is Zooey Deschanel. I couldn’t believe I was unfamiliar with her official band.
“She & Him” will be stopping Cleveland at the House of Blues on June 10th. Tickets go on sale at Livenation.com later this week.
I recorded a montage of my favorite Van Halen tunes a few years back. One day while I was playing “Jump” I noticed how easily I could transition to “Dreams”. Then after time I added “Love Walks In”. Finally I discovered that “Right Now” segues into the last stanza. Enjoy this montage of Van Halen songs from me to you!

Did you know that those who love Bob Dylan’s music call him Zimmy? I starting thinking about what other fanatics call either themselves or the artist.
Artist and Fan Nicknames:
1. Sammy Hagar’s fans are called Redheads
2. Peter Noone’s fans are called Nooneatics
3. Fans call Bob Dylan “Zimmy”
4. Kiss Fans are part of the Kiss Army
5. Barry Manilow fans are called Fanilows
Do you have any artist or fan nicknames to add?
