In honor of the rumor that Steven Tyler has been fired by Aerosmith and being replaced by another singer, Tunesmate salutes them with a sentune. Once again, the object of the game is to take five song titles of the same artist and compose them into a sentence or what we like to a call a sen-tune. If five is too much, then try Sentune Jr. and just do three songs.
Sentune Jr. (three songs):
Angel walk this way, I don’t want to miss a thing
Sentune (five songs):
Pink get a grip, Janies got a gun, walk this way to the other side.
You may have heard Basia Bulat’s song titled “Before I Knew” in the recent Subaru commercial. When I saw this commercial I immediately googled the lyrics to find out who the artist was. Basia is from Canada and has recently been touring Europe and Canada. Her new album,”Heart of My Own” will be released on January 26th. Visit her website to hear more.

I am a big fan of Angels and Airwaves. In February the alternative rockers will release a new album called Love which is also a soundtrack to a movie with same title. This time around the band is decided to use social networking to completely spread the word about their new record. Of course the record and movie companies will do their part in marketing, but the band is letting the net speak for itself. Read more about what they are doing in the story below.

Did you know that Ryan Adams and Bryan Adams are born on the same day, 11/5? Happy Belated Birthday to the Adams Guys! I personally witnessed an angry Ryan Adams yell at a fan when they requested “Summer of 69′”. I wonder if Bryan Adams ever gets requests to play anything from Ryan’s catalog?

I recently heard an interview with Nelly Furtado regarding her new entirely Latin release “Mi Plan”. She indicated that she went into the recording studio to record her next effort and nothing felt right until she started singing in Spanish. In past Nelly had always at least 20% of her record in Spanish, but this was a big leap.
After recording the entire CD in another language, it actually cured her writers block. She’s been able to start working on her next English record with Timbaland. What do you think of Nelly’s first release “Manos al Aire,” (Hands in the Air)? The song recently hit #1 on the Billboard’s Latin singles chart.

Miley Cyrus just hit number one with “Party In The USA”. One of the key lyrics is that she can’t wait to hear a “Jay-Z” song, but the reality is she never even heard one of the rap artists tunes.
